Nostalgia is a short video performance about the constant longing for the outside world during the lockdown.
Nostalgia is what made people want to break the lockdown rules and pushed them to reenact customs that they had always been observing.
Lockdown flooded me with memories of places and people specially from my childhood and that nostalgia transformed into a sort of infection and a pain that maybe can never be fulfilled.

Ileana Gherghina Director/Actor
I trained as a theatre actor and director (in Romania and the UK) but have drifted towards performance art and live art in the past seven years. I have founded a company that produces theatrical work with a strong performance art, video and visual art influence (Nu Nu Theatre). I am also part of LAPER (Live Art and Performance Group) Oxford. I also work with photography, collage, poetry, video and dramatic texts. I have presented my pieces in the UK (where I live and work) and across Europe (Helsinki, Gothenburg, Yerevan). Some of my most recent commissions are for University of Bristol (the video project Bread of Bristol), video/performance work for the International Multimedial Art Festival - IMAF 2020 (Serbia), Shinano Primitive Sense Art Festival (Japan), Performance Køkkenet (Norway) and 2020 Simultan Festival (Timisoara, Romania).

Dermodemonio son las memorias digitales de una piel. Se presenta en formato de video-arte en un recorrido a través del blog-sonoro: https://dermodemonio.tumblr.com/. ¿Cómo suena esta piel?, es el germen de una obra que permite entrever a través de pequeñas hendiduras superficiales, y de una escucha atenta, los ínfimos y rugosos crujidos de un tejido ajeno. Dermodemonio es la reconciliación con el propio archivo somático. Es la resonancia del grito que emerge desde un vientre desconocido, atraviesa un cúmulo de capas extrañas de una misma y se amplifica hacia los poros. Es el arte de una historia clínica, de acumulación de síntomas y diagnósticos.
BIO
Macarena Aguilar Tau es artista sonora, compositora, directora de orquesta, investigadora y docente. Nacida en Argentina y actualmente reside en la Ciudad de Buenos Aires. Realizó sus estudios universitarios en la Facultad de Artes de la Universidad de La Plata, donde obtuvo los títulos de licenciada y profesora en música con orientación en dirección orquestal. Actualmente continúa su formación cursando el Doctorado en Artes de la Universidad Nacional de La Plata donde estudia, investiga y reflexiona sobre el paisaje sonoro, su impacto artístico, social y ambiental. Ha realizado obras sonoras individuales y colectivas, para teatro, orquesta, ensamble,danza, audiovisual, imagen fija, cuentos sonoros y podcast.

Nacho es una identidad masculina que vengo desarrollando hace un año. Durante el aislamiento esta identidad se convirtió en un espacio de abstracción para lidiar con un contexto de crisis en el cual no hay lugar físico o mental- a donde escapar.
En la acción desarmo el maquillaje que utilizo para habitar mi identidad masculina usando dos instrumentos médicos que sirven para realizar legrados en caso de un embarazo no deseado. Desarmo el maquillaje como una manera de habitar a Nacho sin la necesidad de ese agregado.

BIO
Natacha Voliakovsky (Buenos Aires, 1988) es activista, artista visual y de performance polÃtica. En 2019 fue seleccionada para participar del Taller para artistas de Creative Capital y el programa para artistas de performance EMERGENYC del Hemispheric Institute for Performance and Politics/NYU. En 2018 participó del workshop intensivo de performance en el marco de la Venice International Performance Art Week en Venecia, Italia.
Ha participado de numerosas exposiciones colectivas en Argentina, Uruguay, Colombia, Finlandia, Dinamarca, Guatemala, Estados Unidos, TurquÃa, India, Ucrania, Italia y República Checa. Desde 2019 se desempeña como directora de Argentina Performance Art, la primera plataforma de investigación sobre performance art en Argentina.

Nature and technology intertwine in the Year of the sun. The digital world is virtual and nothing in it can be touched. Strangely, in order to interact with it, a gentle and precise human touch is necessary. Video displays, growing from the soil, become parts of this landscape as exhibits of interaction. As the distance between natural and the virtual world dissolves, a seeming symbiosis develops. Nature, interconnected with technology, begins to exchange substances and begins cyclical transformations. Meanwhile, flies buzzing around create random connections between objects and ideas. Sometimes these relations are neutral, sometimes contagious.

PAULIUS ALIAUPAAC (1990, Vilnius, Lithuania) works explore the relationship(s) between culture and nature, the interaction of ambience and light that affect our daily lives. From video-installations and experimental movies for the cinema to objectlike paintings, his oeuvre encompasses a wide range of artistic media. By accumulating the flow of painterly images, atmospheric sounds and poetic energy, the artist creates sensual narratives. Most projects consist of multiple works, grouped around specific themes such as organic structures, rituals in nature, the flow of natural and artificial light and absurd poetic happenings.

Esta pieza relata la repetición como característica principal de la cotidianidad física y psicológica de quienes tuvimos que enfrentarnos a los efectos de la pandemia del COVID-19: el encierro, las personas contagiadas y fallecidas; las nuevas formas de educación y trabajo en línea; y las desigualdades socioeconómicas agravadas; mismas que dieron origen a formas de resiliencia frente a un hecho histórico sin precedentes, donde las cifras y las noticias parciales se enfrentaron a distintas perspectivas desde veladas vivencias personales, dándose lugar en el espacio de la virtualidad.
BIO
Carol Gabriela Cortez Osorio es artista, diseñadora e ilustradora; nacida el 08 de mayo de 1996 en Latacunga Ecuador. Actualmente estudia Artes Plásticas en la Universidad Central del Ecuador y realizó un año de movilidad estudiantil en la Facultad de Artes y Diseño de la Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México. Ha participado en varias exposiciones colectivas en Quito, Guayaquil y la Ciudad de México. Como también, ha sido parte de varios proyectos culturales como parte del área logística.
Es parte de la colectiva Transhumanxs, misma que se encarga de la planificación y producción del festival Cuerpa. Ha tomado varios cursos y seminarios que han permitido fortalecer y acrecentar su conocimiento en varias áreas del arte y la cultura. Fue parte de la asistencia en producción de la obrade Ai Weiwei en el Museo Universitario de Arte Contemporáneo de la UNAM.

En estos meses de cuarentena, las pantallas devinieron pieles. Las plataformas de comunicación virtual nos convocan, nos encuentran y se multiplican las invitaciones a asistir a videos en vivo, charlas, cursos y amores online. Rápidamente la vida se minimiza a la pantalla y a través de ella, las imágenes fantasmas entran y salen de mi casa. Sin embargo, el contacto no se siente, cuantas más videollamadas, más distancia, más vacío, más soledad detrás del monitor. No quiero videollamadas, quiero encuentros futuros donde los cuerpos se rocen sin temor al contagio.

Roma Vaquero Diaz (Pergamino, Argentina) Artista multidisciplinaria, performera e investigadora. Sus trabajos y proyectos incluyen performance, instalación, fotográfica y audiovisual. Mg. en Lenguajes Artísticos Combinados (U.N.A.) y Lic. en Arte Escénica (U.N.R.). Ha participado de exposiciones en Argentina, Chile, Uruguay, Venezuela, México, Colombia, Estados Unidos, España e India. Sus obras recientes se exhibieron en Centro Cultural Kirchner (CABA), Museo Provincial de Bellas Artes (La Plata), Espacio Idea MEC (Montevideo), Centro Cultural de la Memoria Haroldo Conti (CABA), Museo Jacobo Borges (Caracas), Centro Cultural San Martín (CABA) Ha publicado diversos artículos en revistas y portales culturales en el Ámbito nacional e internacional, entre ellos Revista Sudestada, Revista Perfomia y Le Monde Diplomatique. Es coautora del libro Mujeres de Kurdistán. La revolución de las hijas del sol (Editorial Sudestada, 2017) Desde 2017 dirige Mundo Performance, plataforma de investigación y creación en relación al arte de la performance y el arte contemporáneo. Vive en Buenos Aires.

Al sistema capitalista le interesan los cuerpos, los cuerpos dóciles y obedientes. Los cuerpos se reproducen, los pensamientos se reproducen. Las ideologías que dominan los cuerpos se reproducen. Ninguna tecnología es neutral, ninguna ideología es neutral. La tecnología ha sido creada para el control de los cuerpos. Al sistema industrial le importan los cuerpos disciplinados y sometidos por la máquina.
Cuerpe Digital, indaga la relación entre el cuerpo y la tecnología que habita nuestro hogar en este contexto de pandemia donde las herramientas digitales han tomado un papel importante. La obra propone apropiarse de la tecnología y cuestionarla rompiendo con los modos de uso para los cuales fueron creadas. Empoderarse del cuerpo y de las tecnologías son herramientas de resistencia y cuestionamiento a los diferentes dispositivos de opresión del ser humano.

Soy Artista visual formado en el cruce entre arte y tecnología. Trabajo en el lenguaje de los nuevos medios en proyectos artísticos basados en la interacción entre obra-espectador. En mis últimos proyectos indago en diferentes herramientas y técnicas como medio de expresión donde el eje conceptual de mis obras se abordan bajo un tinte político. Busco deconstruir el entramado social y cultural indagando en la performance, la escritura, las instalaciones, la escultura, el cine, el dibujo y las intervenciones .Soy Licenciado y Profesor en Diseño Multimedial. He formado parte de diferentes grupos de investigación como Emme Lab en la Facultad de Bellas Artes de La Plata donde tambiénn fui docente adjunto en la cátedra de Taller Multimedial 4. He realizado diferentes exhibiciones individuales y grupales a nivel nacional e internacional. También he sido becado Fundación Carolina para realizar el Master en Investigación en prácticas artísticas y visuales en España en 2016/17.

Looking through the profiles, you see how bodies and houses are exposed at the same time. Two categories of private are connected in one place. In particular, homosexual men easily show their identity to declare who they are at home.
New technologies help to feel safe, not afraid of judgment and physical violence. In your home or room, there is a chance to relax and feel like yourself at least in the evening after work or on weekends. For a short time, you have a personal freedom area, which is limited by the walls of your home and access to the Internet, in a place where society does not accept people like you and wishes that there were no people like you. The sign "I'll be right back" is a story of constant risk in the real world and temporary rescue in the virtual world.

Maksim Finogeev (b.1987) is a photographer and a visual artist from Ukraine, lives and works in Odesa. He graduated from the Odesa National Maritime University (2008) and the Kyiv National University of Culture and Arts (2014).His work has been featured at Festival Die Digitale (Dusseldorf), TIFF Festival (Wroclaw), festival PRESENCE (St. Petersburg), Circulation(s) (Paris), Gogolfest (Kyiv, Ukraine), festival Non Stop Media VIII (Kharkiv, Ukraine), Backlit Triennial (Tampere, Finland), Kaunas Photo Festival (Lithuania), Busan International Photo Festival (South Korea).His work was awarded by Young Artists Competition Natan Altman, Vinnytsia, UA (2019), Prix Picto de la Mode, Paris (finalist-2018), "Photographer of the year 2016 FOTO.UA", Kyiv (2016), Bazaar fashion forward, Harper's Bazaar Ukraine, Kyiv (2012).

Ardalan Aram y Pedro Carneiro

A keyboard and an empty chair with headphones are placed in an urban space. A song is created in the moment for every person who takes a seat. This performance piece is an invitation to stop for a moment and dive into another realm within the public space. No explanation, no rules and no expectations are set, just a moment of encounter through music.
"Free Seat" is a collaboration between the Brazilian musician Pedro Carneiro Silva and the Iranian/German conceptual artist & filmmaker Ardalan Aram. By promoting random encounters, the project seeks to act in the daily life of the city and raise questions about human relations through art. The participant, by overcoming the natural distrust of what is being offered to him and joining the proposal to take a seat, goes from the role of a spectator to co-author of the creation process, insofar as his attitude directly influences the music that is created in the moment.

PEDRO CARNEIRO SILVA
Pedro Carneiro Silva is a pianist, composer and performer from Rio de Janeiro. His creative musical process stands out for an innovative approach that explores the interaction between experiences, feelings and music. In the Free Seat project, in partnership with Ardalan Aram, Pedro creates music for people during random encounters in the city, his music is created through performances that explore social and personal issues. Pedro also collaborates with artists from around the world and has conducted concerts and workshops throughout Europe, Asia and Brazil. He holds a degree in Brazilian Music from UNIRIO (Rio de Janeiro) and a Masters in Jazz Piano from Escola Superior de Musica (Lisbon).

ARDALAN ARAM
There is one word that is in the center of everything that Ardalan Aram creates: Feeling. The Iranian-German conceptual artist, filmmaker and entrepreneur believes that true connection is possible through our raw human experiences, no matter if evoked by a film, an installation, a performance piece or simply by a new perspective on the ordinary.
"Anonymous cities create anonymous people, a separation between you and me, them and us. I believe that we need more spaces that allow strangers to show their vulnerability and connect through sharing a feeling with each other."
In collaboration with the composer and pianist Pedro Carneiro Silva he created the Free Seat Project and has been placing the living installation throughout cities like Berlin, Lisbon, Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo.
Ardalan also co-founded lifelessons.de, a berlin based start-up aiming to demystify and destigmatize psychotherapy by showing thoroughly how it's done by influential experts in the field of psychology and therapy. Through lifelessons.de he seeks to remove fear and shame that is still associated with the topic of mental health & counseling.

Speculating about the intersection of technology and art, its transdisciplinary practice emerges as an investigation based on the decolonial concept of the patriarchal techno regime, as it relates to the materiality of the body and gender. Working with digital archives, Pina incorporates her poetics into photographs, videos, digital sculptures and experiences in virtual reality. Previous projects have investigated the violence of whiteness and its extreme forms mainly under the bodies considered to be on the margins of this system.

Was born in 1992 in St. Petersburg. for several years (2014-2017) she participated in a large number of exhibitions and other art projects, but then gave up active artistic activity, disillusioned with herself. Now an art teacher in a children's studios and school. During the quarantine period, the thought arose about the desire to return to any artistic activity.
